Anywhere is better than those 3, especially Frog High and UH.
If he doesn't come back to us, and it looks like he isn't, I hope he goes to Gonzaga - never a threat to face SMU and a legit shot to win big.

When all is said and done, who cares where K.D. goes? He's decided he does not want to play at SMU so I'm more concerned about how Coach Lanier and his staff backfill our roster openings. I'm thankful for the years K.D. gave us and he was a guy who dominated the stat sheet. Did he make the players around him better players (as you would hope your PG would do)? I don't know about that but I just want a group of guards that can give Kendric fits if our guys play against him next year and I want a PG who gets everyone involved and brings out the best in all of our guys.

I am ready to move on but in my opinion, if he plays for another NCAA team that automatically disqualifies him from ever having his number retired, not that I would have retired his number at this juncture.

Any talk of retiring K.D.'s number is absurd. Maybe if he had returned for another season and played 80% of his college career at SMU he would have moved into the Top 10 or even into the Top 5 on some career statistical categories but right now the only category he's even moved into the Top 10 is in assists (# 7). He is (at least in my opinion) among the Top 10 PGs to have played at SMU but nowhere near deserving of having his number retired.

An article I was reading rates the 7 teams where they think he will end up...Memphis came in #1.

He’s eliminated Gonzaga and UT. A source tweeted that he’s going to Memphis and his mom apparently walked that back.

Since Memphis is the only school he is visiting before he announces...

I wouldn't rule out Houston or TCU. He know the campus and the coach well.

Wouldn't surprise me either.

Obviously, Houston is way ahead of us in both football and basketball.

While we have clearly passed TCU in football, they have definitely passed us in basketball.

I wouldn't say they are way ahead of us in football.

I read the comment as "we have passed them in football" and I would say that cautiously. Need to beat them in Ford next year before we can start feeling that way.

We are both mediocre in football. Until we win big (at least a conference championship and NY6 game), does it really matter?
