Temple hung on and beat # 16 Villanova last night. Good win for them in the battle for Philadelphia. I love the fact Temple plays all the Philly area schools every year...Nova, Drexel, Penn, LaSalle & St Josephs. Nice battle for bragging rights in that area
I've always thought SMU should play TCU, UNT & UTA every year

New Mexico moves to 2-0 with their 80-74 win vs South Alabama in "The Pit". Jamal Mashburn Jr is looking good scoring 20 ppg and his backcourt mate Jaelen House is also scoring over 20 ppg. Those guys are both hitting close to 45% on their three pointers through the 1st 2 games. We are going to need to play tough perimeter D on those guys Tuesday as this looks like a much better Lobos team than SMU played last year.

Texas Southern beats Arizona State 67-66 in OT in Houston. Would be nice if our guys can get a W against ASU when they come to Moody in December. Lanier & staff hopefully will have figured out a rotation by then and the guys should be starting to gel as a unit

Northern Kentucky U, about 2 miles from my house, just took down Cincy. Held them to 11 points in the second half.

Interesting stat from the Cincy game. They went 4-29 in the second half and had more turnovers and shots blocked that made baskets.

Every team plays some ugly games in the non-conference/early season. Let's hope we got ours out of the way

And last night N. Kentucky lost 82-61 @ FGCU. College basketball can be a roller coaster
Another bad night for the AAC with only Wichita State beating Grand Canyon while Cincy, Temple, USF, Tulane and ECU all lost their games. Will the 4-0 Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette remain unbeaten vs our Mustangs tonight?

Glad to see Davis with a real program and a real chance to play with a decent team. Too bad that he didn't wake up sooner instead of wasting eligibility with a dead end team in a dead end program.
