Keon Ambrose-Hylton with a block, but not with his hand — looked like he got the ball with his forearm, halfway to the elbow

Looks like it will be a long season with few wins.

Phelps looks like he needs to relax and play his game. It looks like he is trying to force to much.

First, Evansville doesn't look like a good team at all to me.

I thought the SMU offense actually looked a lot better in the first half with shot creation. Just a ton of easy shots missed. Made a few more of them in the second half.

Have we dunked the ball yet this season? A bit of a lack of overall athleticism with nobody who can really finish strong at the hoop, and that hurts the miss percentage close in.

The offense did look more coherent at least, even if the shots didn't go down. Odige should be averaging 20 points a game with the looks he is getting and the shots he is missing. Phelps, Nutall, and Williamson all need to more consistently hit the mid range jumper and layups. I hope that stuff comes around. Otherwise, we just look like one of those 15 win Temple teams that play hard defense but can't shoot a lick.

Evansville was horrible. You really see us winning 15?

HP- as I mentioned earlier I will be surprised if this team wins more than 10-12 games this year.

Remains to be seen what this team might become. We certainly miss K.D. He was the proverbial "straw that stirs the drink" and while I'm optimistic about what Zhuric might become, he's got a long ways to go. Hopefully Lanier figures out an effective rotation and guys get more comfortable playing together as the year goes on, but does not appear we have the talent to compete with the better teams in even the AAC, certainly not any of the Top 25 teams we are yet to face.
