Phelps collects outlet pass and could have dunked, but gave it up to Jalen Smith, who was a step further ahead, for easier dunk
Smith follows with a 3
28-15

Good to see Jalen Smith coming alive. We need him to contribute offensively

Still only 1-7 from three. Need to shoot better in Moody

I thought I would check in to see if we are still one of the best, if not the best team in the Southland. Northwestern State does have a W against TCU, but Lamar appears to be one of the weaker teams in that conference. Need an easy confidence building win today.
SMU is up 15 (32-17) with 5:13 to go in the first half. Mustangs really should pull away and get minutes for everyone on the bench today.

Don't see this often: Mustangs have just made only one 3-pointer, but have blocked four shots.

11 assists now on 14 made FGs and only 5 turnovers. As Larry Brown advocated, share the ball!

7 offensive boards on 12 missed shots is good to see

Lanier needs to sign at least 2 point guards. I don't care if they can make a layup, as long as they are quick and can handle the ball. Ponies had a 3 on 1 fast break and kicked the ball around like it was a live grenade with the pin already pulled.

Smith has looked good. Dunk, 3 pointer, active on defense.
