Do not understand why Odigie is on the floor at the end when you need all of your best 3 point shooters knowing you can only heave up a prayer. So SMU falls to 1-2 vs Jackson State who I think beat us years ago in the H.S. gym

OK, I was giving the team the benefit of the doubt with the first year head coach etc. We don’t play Foster hardly at all he knows what’s wrong with him and we get beat by a winless Jackson state. This is not an embarrassment on the local or regional level this is a national level embarrassment. What a joke

Well, at least Lanier screamed a lot, let everyone know who’s boss, and treated his players like 13 year olds….I’m cool with that.

That was terrible. The rebounding in the first half was awful. Shooting terrible. Defense lazy.

That was very Robodoh. A very, very, very bad, bad, bad loss.

Phelps is the only player who is willing or able to dribble penetrate on a consistent basis, and today an overall lack of athleticism showed up on the defensive end as well.

Odigie is shooting 35% on layups, why in the hell does he EVER have a green light to shoot from 18 foot? EVER. Anytime he takes that shot, his [deleted] should be on the bench the rest of the half.

Williamson needs to dribble more, but man, stop with the turnarounds. Finish at the rim or dish it back out.

This is going in a bad way, fast.

I’ve gone from driving 700 miles to see each game (LB days) to not watching on ESPN+. It hurts too much..

As a jokingly asked do we still have a basketball program, is there really any hope? I know this year is a rebuilding year but if we can't take on a winless fcs team at home then do we even have a program? We got the epitome of brutality headline on Twitter and apparently we got it 11 days ago. At this point, do we even have bye games because I think we are the bye game for everyone else.

The question now is "can this team go winless in AAC play?". That might be all that's left to wonder

I'm not an expert on many topics including basketball. But I have watched SMU basketball since the days of the Beasley Brothers and I can't figure out this team's strategy or formula to win. If things don't turn around quickly we will finish in the cellar and our best guys will head to the portal.
