Good 1st half for our guys, especially on the road in what has traditionally been a tough place to play. Looks like WSU crowd is a little down from their norm but they are struggling this year as well. Williamson, Phelps and Odigie can fill up a stat sheet and all three already in double figures

Surprised to see SMU with 11 assists vs only 5 turnovers in that 1st half and WSU already with 10 turnovers. Our guys played a little out of control at times trying to force thihgs offensively. Phelps with 3 steals in that 1st half to offset his 2 turnovers. He's a really talented guy and if he learns to play under control, he could really be a special player the next 2 years. Nutall leading SMU with 4 rebounds is a little bit of a surprise as well

Nutall 1-5 from three. When he's on from long range, this SMU team can be really tough but more often than not he's really struggled from three. We are not a very good 3 point shooting team and shot below our 31% season average (27%) in that 1st half.

Phelps is always looking for steals and gets way out of position defensively at times but WSU is missing open looks and bailing him out. Guys are hanging tough today. Hopefully they can build a big enough lead to be FT proof...or they can shoot FTs at a higher percentage today. So far so good with 3 of 4 made
