I’d rather have LB sanctioned to 0 scholarships w/ postseason ban than this.

But LB left with less than that because he felt wronged. He wasn’t quite the same after leaving.

The bench isn’t very productive and you’re going to lose good players when you transition coaches. What kind of replacements can be found for Odigie and Nutall? How much will The others step, including guys like A-H and will Foster develop?

It was nice to see we hung with them for a while. I didn't really expect that.

20 losses. Wow.

SMU bball has now had eight 20 loss seasons and although from a winning percentage viewpoint, the '81-'82 and '93-'94 teams were the worst at 6-21, this team should break the record for most losses in a single season (currently 21). I'm assuming a loss @ Cincinnati and a 1st round loss in the AAC Tourney but even if they earn an upset 1st round win, they are probably going to lose 22 games before all is said and done!

Unless someone improves tremendously, next year's team has 2 guys who are talented enough to be P5 level starters in Williamson and Phelps and they both need a much stronger group of starters to play with. Phelps struggles being the alpha and forces the action and makes poor decisions...and let's not even talk about the work he needs to put in at the FT line! Williamson is talented and can fill up a stat sheet and will have a special senior season if his injury fully heals and he has a better supporting cast around him. Ambrose-Hylton showed potential and Foster remains a complete unknown so let's hope Lanier can find a quality post player for next year. This team desperately needs a true PG and a 2 guard who can light it up consistently. The rest of the returning guards look like bench contributors to me. Just three impact guys and this is a completely different team next year.
