Women's Basketball Announces 2023-24 Schedule

IRVING, TEXAS (SMU) – The American Athletic Conference announced the 2023-24 women's basketball schedule on Thursday.

Tipoff times and television designations will be announced at a later date.

The conference slate opens with a road contest against defending AAC Champion South Florida on Dec. 30 and finishes versus the Bulls in Moody Coliseum on March 5.

Charlotte (Feb. 18), Florida Atlantic (Jan. 4), Temple (Jan. 24), and UTSA (Jan. 27) will visit Moody Coliseum, while SMU will travel for matchups at UAB (Jan. 14), Tulane (Feb. 14), Tulsa (March 2) and Wichita State (Feb. 28). SMU will face East Carolina, Memphis, North Texas, Rice and South Florida twice.

The 2023-24 AAC Championships will be March 9-13 at Dickies Arena in Forth Worth, Texas.

Eight games in Moody Coliseum, including match-ups with Baylor and Colorado, a road trip to face Louisiana Tech, and the San Diego Classic highlights non-conference schedule.The third season under Head Coach Toyelle Wilson begins with four home games, starting on Nov. 6 against UC Riverside.

Colorado visits Moody Coliseum on Nov. 18 for an 8 p.m. tip. The Mustangs first road trip of the season is to the San Diego Classic, where SMU will have neutral site matchups with Toledo on Nov. 24 and Harvard on the 25th. SMU closes out November hosting Baylor on Nov. 30.

SMU finished the 2022-23 season with a 17-13 record. SMU went 13-2 at Moody Coliseum, including a program-record 10-game home winning streak. Savannah Wilkinson, Jasmine Smith and Ella Brow each earned All-American Athletic Conference honors. The Mustangs made the WNIT for the second straight season, earning postseason bid in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2014 and 2015.
