The slightest encouraging news is welcome. Maybe this lineup will allow Phelps to fully shine.

Best news from that stat sheet is that as a team our guys hit 29 of 32 FT attempts and Zhuric went 5-6 (hard to forget how he finished the season last year!). SMU also out rebounded K-State by 15 boards. Looks like Ambrose-Hylton played well but no minutes for either Njie or Foster? We really need to see more from our bigs this year as I'm confident the backcourt will be significantly improved by all the transfers

Difficult to have any idea what this year's team might be after the trip to Spain against weak competition. Opening game against SAGU, a very competitive NAIA program will give us a much better idea whether this team will be significantly improved from last year. Certainly hope so because it can't get much worse than what we witnessed last year
