Gotta pull for conference mates

would love to see Nevada advance. They are looking strong over the 1st 10 minutes of their game with Gonzaga.

Also have to pull for Memphis and UAB to reach the sweet 16 and keep CUSA hoops strong with all the Big East/A-10 defections ahead

Plus Central Florida almost beat Pittsburgh and UAB won. Not bad.

Nevada in sweet 16

Maybe losing to Nevada in the WAC tourny wasn't so bad after all.

Nevada played up to their level. They stumbled a little in the WAC and certainly didn't play like this. Very good to see - If they play like that, they could beat GT possibly. They have everyone back except for Okeson. Watch out.

And except Kirk Synder. He isn't graduating, but the dude is gone to the NBA...

Nevada played a great game yesterday and Hawaii and Boise St are still alive in the NIT, so the WAC is looking pretty good.

Let's see how future CUSA mates UAB and Memphis fare against the #1 and #2 seeds in their regions today.

And remember, SMU (and every other team in the WAC) makes money for each game Nevada wins.

Obviously, Nevada and UAB did very well....both in the Sweet 16.

I wonder if the payout from Nevada's performance will be spent on the new coaching staff to make the salaries more competitive and appealing to candidates.
