They were up 5 points with about two minutes to go and never scored again. Missed a critical one and one, missed easy shots at the basket, committed silly turnovers. Also, when they were trying to foul when it was still a one point game, they got an intentional foul call against them which gave USF two free throws and the ball back. To the credit of USF, they drained all their critical free throws.
Huge two game stretch here, biggest of the season. Two wins, and we should at least be on the bubble for the NCAA, maybe even in the field on most brackets, Two losses and we will have to finish strong to get one of the four byes. A split pretty much keeps us where we are now, firmly in charge of one of the byes, which is not an entirely bad thing.
Hoping for a sweep, but will be happy with a split.
Go Ponies!
You know what they say about good teams and bad teams....
I think we have to win both to have a chance at a tournament bid.

That upset loss by Charlotte @ Tulsa has us tied with 4 losses with both Charlotte and UAB but we still have to upset USF and will still have to win out including beating UAB in Birmingham to be sure of locking down a top 4 seed so it remains a really tall order for our guys. Hopefully they can catch fire in Tampa today
