Except with SMU, which

inexplicably is still at 43

in the NET after back-to-back losses but drops out with a SOR of 81 and a 1-8 record in Q1 and Q2. The Mustangs aren’t making the tournament as an at-large – if Villanova isn’t the highest-ranked NET team left out, that distinction could fall to SMU. But the metrics, odd as they might be, are high enough to at least leave them in.

Against teams with capable bigs (FAU, USF, etc.), we're going to live by the 3 and die by the 3, because our frontcourt doesn't scare anyone. We desperately need to add size before next year, and as much as I like Keon and Williamson and Hudson, those should be mid-sized guys. We need 6'10" and up with some legit offensive talent. I know, every team wants those guys, but we are undersized against almost everyone in the AAC. Imagine what it will look like against UNC and Duke.

Against teams with capable bigs (FAU, USF, etc.), we're going to live by the 3 and die by the 3, because our frontcourt doesn't scare anyone. We desperately need to add size before next year, and as much as I like Keon and Williamson and Hudson, those should be mid-sized guys. We need 6'10" and up with some legit offensive talent. I know, every team wants those guys, but we are undersized against almost everyone in the AAC. Imagine what it will look like against UNC and Duke.

Assuming Keon, Tyreek and Hudson are all back next year the question is whether Njie and Foster will return as well. Holmes will add size but not sure we can count on him being athletic enough as a true frosh to compete against ACC bigs. Doesn't appear wither Njie or Foster are going to contribute at that level so it will be interesting to see if they hit the portal looking for a place they can get more minutes before they use up their eligibility. If all of our guards are back and with Anglin joining that group we should have plenty of scoring guards and it would be a huge plus if Puryear can contribute immediately as a SF but clearly this team needs more talented bigs

Unfortunately, talented big men are few and far between. If there is a guy out there 6'10'' plus that is not getting enough minutes, there is a reason for that. Probably the best we could hope for is getting someone that is a rim protector and can deliver some pain to the ACC bigs. Need to win a recruiting war (NIL Money) for a true big talent, either domestic or foreign.

If Puryear steps in and contributes, he's an even trade for (talent-wise, not in terms of experience) for Williamson. If Njie and Foster aren't contributing now, it's crazy to think they'll fare better in the ACC. Foster isn't even dressing for games now, right? The coaches had better come up ... big ... in the transfer portal.
