Future basketball scheduling

I sure wish SMU, TCU, UNT & UTA could all come together and play a pre-season tournament every year, especially with all 4 schools playing in different conferences next year. Each school has it's own on-campus arena so you could rotate the venue annually and allow everyone to host once every 4 years. I have to believe there would be enough interest to sellout the event or come very close to it every year. The "host" school could be given the # 1 seed giving them a better chance of advancing to the championship game.

If we can't make that happen, I'd like to see SMU schedule games with all of these schools rather than playing 2-3 Southland schools every year. The schools in Philadelphia all play each other every year and I'd like to see the DFW area schools do the same thing. I'm not sure if other metro areas do the same but with the long distance travel we will have in the ACC I'd just like to see us keep some local rivalries going in the non-conference schedule.

Great idea and totally agree.

We need a corporate sponsor to jump on board and make it happen!

I think it would be a great idea. Maybe do this for a charity or something.

I love this idea, but it makes way too much sense to ever happen.

Plus TCU would be too scared

No - I don't think the funds should go to TCU's NIL collective.
