DALLAS – The SMU men's swimming and diving team completed day two at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center in Tucson, Arizona. After a slow start on Friday, SMU put together a strong showing on Saturday. Despite their bounce back performance, the Mustangs fell short in the overall meet.
SMU got off to a fast start as Colin Feehery and Angus Corbeau went one and two in the 200-yard IM. Feehery won the race with a time of 1:51.46, while Corbeau finished second at 1:53.31.
Cole Bruns put together a solid 100-yard freestyle, posting a 45:83 and finishing in second place. Cotton Fields added another second-place finish in his 100-yard backstroke, posting a 51:24.
The Mustangs took first and second place in the 100-yard breaststroke. Feehery finished first at 56:28, followed by Joe Rusnock at 56:97.
Bruns, Charlie Kaye, Lance Butler, and Feehery brought home second place in the 400-yard freestyle.
