Kelly and Harry both fire 2 under 1st rounds and are sitting right at the cut line while Austin at even par is going to have to go low tomorrow. There are 45 guys sitting at 4 under or better

Bud at the tourney reported Higgs "weazing up the hill" on 16, appeared physically strained. I would offer that Higgs needs to get serious about his profession at some point and drop 30, but then again, who am I.....

Missed the fact that Mac Meissner also got an invite to play the Byron Nelson but he and Harry have already missed the cut. Kelly at minus 2 and Austin at even par have a lot of work to do on their back nines to get inside the projected cut line which is minus 4 right now.

And then drops to "last place" among the qualifiers after his 3rd round 6 over 77 that takes him back to even par for the week. Ouch, but at least it's a cut made and a paycheck

Just watched Bryson's post round interview. Sounds like he's feeling it again after a 5 year hiatus. Can't ignore the leader in the clubhouse after morning rounds are complete. Six birdies against 2 bogeys today on a really tough course

Austin Smotherman fires an up and down 3rd round even par 70 (4 birdies offset by 4 bogeys) at Colonial in the Schwab and is currently t-50th with half the field still on the course or getting ready to tee off.

Another up and down one under round today featuring 5 birdies and 4 bogeys gives Austin another Top 25 finish. Currently T-21st but could improve slightly on that with a couple of players one shot ahead of him yet to finish
