Wilkerson, Oliver and Powell all notch double-doubles tonight

EL PASO, Texas (SMU) --- The SMU volleyball won a come-from-behind victory over UTEP, 3-2 (22-25, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-12), on Friday afternoon. Kathryn Wilkerson led the Mustangs with 20 kills and 13 digs as the Ponies advance to 22-5 overall this season and 14-2 in Conference USA action.
Wilkerson, who notched her 17th double-double of the season, converted on 20 of her 58 swings (.259) and added in three blocks. Besides Wilkerson, outside hitters Jessica Oliver and Dana Powell also turned in solid performances for the Mustangs. Powell had 12 kills and 20 digs to mark her 19th double-double this season. Jessica Oliver, also tallied a double-double, her first of the season with 14 kills and a match-high 10 blocks.
The Mustangs fell behind by losing the first two sets to the Miners. SMU responded by winning the next two sets to force a deciding set. In the fifth set, the Ponies, who are now 6-1 in five-set matches, clinched the match with a 15-12 game win.
SMU returns to the court on Sunday with a road match at UCF. The Mustangs defeated the Knights, 3-2, at Moody Coliseum earlier this year.
