M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentSMU is just playing the No. 3 and No. 4 teams in the country this weekend.
No. 4 USF (a future BIG EAST opponent) Friday afternoon and No. 3 New Mexico (who beat us this spring) on Sunday. Wow. http://www.smumustangs.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/082912aaa.html Go Ponies! Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentHuge test for a young team. Is Castillo playing? But you get better by playing the tough teams.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournament
I haven't seen or heard any timetable on Castillo's return. Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentStill scoreless 25 minutes in.
USF with 7 fouls so far (SMU just has 1), so I guess we know what kind of game they play. Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournament0-0 HT.
USF with a 4-3 advantage in shots (1-0 shots on goal). Fouls evened up (USF 7, SMU 5) and no corners in the game yet. Sounds tight. Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentUSF finally breaks through in the 74th minute. 1-0 USF.

Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentDoesn't look like Castillo is playing.

... "Hit it."
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournament
Nope - and we also went down to 10 men after Andrew Morales picked up a yellow in the 57th minute and followed it up with another yellow in the 66th minute. Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentGametracker still stuck at 77:01, but I imagine things are not good.

Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournament1-0 USF Final.
I look forward to details on this one. It sounds like we were every bit their equal (even starting five freshmen) until we went down a man. I wonder what happened there too. Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentThere must be something in the water in Tulsa. New Mexico is down a man against Tulsa too (28th minute).
The game is 1-1 30 minutes in, but Tulsa scored their goal on a penalty awarded on UNM's red. Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentHere is the SMU release from the USF game:
http://www.smumustangs.com/sports/m-soccer/recaps/083112aaa.html Losing obviously stinks, but it was nice to see SMU hang with one of the top-ranked teams in the country - and to be able to match their physicality which will obviously be one of the big questions next season as we start play in the BIG EAST. Scoring has been hard to find so far this season. Hopefully, Castillo will be back soon because that can only help things on the offensive end of the field. New Mexico on Sunday afternoon! Go Ponies! Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentNew Mexico and Tulsa headed to overtime at 1-1.
Shake It Off Moody
Re: M-Soccer: SMU at Tulsa tournamentThat was quick. Tulsa wins 2-1 with a goal at 91:42.
