Women's ranked 21st in nation

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's soccer team is ranked 21st in the Soccer Buzz.com's preseason poll, released on Wednesday. SMU is the lone WAC representative in the poll's top 30 and one of three Texas schools (Texas, Texas A&M). The Mustangs closed out the 2003 season with a 17-3-2 record, capturing their fourth consecutive regular season WAC title and fourth league tournament crown.

The Mustangs are also ranked fifth in the Central Region behind Texas A&M, Texas, Kansas and Colorado. The complete listing of the rankings can be found at www.soccerbuzz.com

SMU will host Oklahoma State in exhibition play Saturday evening, Aug. 21, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Westcott Field. Admission is free and open to the public
