SMU beat #17 Stanford 2-1 Sunday at the Notre Dame Adidas Classic.

Krystal Bailey had one goal, Jill Heinemann had the other goal and an assist.

And they opened that tournament by taking #3 Santa Clara to overtime. Nice start to the year for the Mustangs.

Now about the men's team's meltdown against Stanford Sunday (0-2 loss ....)
