The weather was absolutely miserable the second half, but the win was sweet. The only bummer is I was late getting to the game and missed the only goal...but got to see some good shots on goal there at the end. Bring on Tulsa...GO MUSTANGS!!!!!

A good sized crowd sat through almost continuous rain to see the Ponies pull this game out. At times the rain was very heavy and there was one short weather delay. The field was not good at the start and by the end it was covered with standing water. The Ponies gave an outstanding performance considering the field conditions and were unlucky to not have another goal. All in all a great night for soccer.

I can’t believe they were able to get that game in. It seems like its been raining constantly for three straight days.

Great job by the Ponies tonight. If we beat Tulsa are we in the final four?

Another victory by SMU men's soccer. Congratulations to Coach Hyndman, the assistants and the players. Keep winning and bringing positive attention to SMU athletics. Go Mustangs.

Considering the weather conditions during the match - a cheer for the SMU fans that were there.

Kudos the the diehards who sat through that waterfall tonight.

Any word on David Chun's face? It looked like he got kicked in the face when he scored. They took him out and he had a wad of cotten jammed up the left barrel of his schnoz. Must have been a gusher. But he came back in the game, so I assume he didn't break any facial bones, right?
Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!

Talked to one of the coaches last night...he said that Chun did break his nose. These guys are tough...no pads, but lots of contact.

PLENTY of contact. I'm living proof that the moms who get their sons to play soccer instead of football "because it's not a contact sport" are wishful thinkers but not overly well-versed on the realities of the world's most popular sport. That was my mom's rationale, and I got pretty banged up each and every season, sometimes seriously.
