David Gomez a 2004 McDonald All American from Garland was one of Schellas' top signees last year in a star studded class . He apparently did not gain admittance to SMU at the last moment and ended up at NAIA Northwood University in Cedar Hill where he plays for a former SMU assistant coach for Schellas. Just speculation, but I would not be surprised to see him back one day at SMU if he gets his academics in order.

That hurts to lose David, but the class is star studded and should still help SMU challenge for championships.
