What has happened to SMU Tennis?

Postby Sic_em » Fri Mar 11, 2005 2:11 am

I remember when SMU Tennis (both men and women) were very formidable and highly ranked every year. Am I wrong about that or has it fallen off a bit. If so, why?

I think they might just be in a rebuilding mode. We had some pretty great players graduate last year, so we have to rebuild the pipeline.

women end regular season with wins over Rice and North Texas. Rice will remain the top seed for conference tourney due to ranking of ITA. Fresno State will be second and are the defending champs. Mustangs are on an upswing both mentally and physically. S. Alabama is ranked 30 and has been a top tennis school since the late 90's. Mustangs will be either third or fourth seed for conference tournament.
