Four Mustangs swam in the 100 LC meter free event. Angela San Juan Cisneros, Petra Klosova, Sascha Van den Branden and Elzanne Werth each took to the water, along with former Mustang Michelle Vlasakova. Klosova and Van Den Branden each qualified for the B Final, with Klosova finishing in 57.32 and Van den Branden touching in at 57.23. San Juan Cisneros completed the course in 57.79, good enough for an alternate spot. Vlasakova came in at 55th overall.

In the 200 LC meter fly, Justine Clark was the sole SMU swimmer. She swam the event in 2:17.58, qualifying her for the B Final to be held Saturday morning.

In addition to the final heats, the Mustangs will compete in prelim heats Saturday evening.
