SMU Two Shots Back At Shocker Classic
Kleckner, Kraft Tied For Third


WICHITA, Kan. (SMU)- The SMU men's golf team is just two shots out of the lead after 36 holes at the 2008 Diet Pepsi Shocker Golf Classic, being held at the par-71 Wichita Country Club. SMU carded rounds of 283 and 286 and is in second place, just two back of leader and host Wichita State.

Individually, SMU's Dan Kleckner (67-71) and Kelly Kraft (69-69) are tied for third at 4-under 138, while Ben Tewes also stands in the top 20 in 19th at 4-over 146. Scott Barton's back-to-back 74s have him 29th, while James Minahan bounced back from a tough 80 in round one to score a 73 for the Mustangs in round two. He is tied for 57th.

UTA's Kevin Carrigan leads the event at 135 (67-68).

Play concludes Tuesday with 18 holes beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
