Mustangs Take Second At Shocker Classic
Kraft Finishes Second Individually

WICHITA, Kan. (SMU) - The SMU men's golf team finished second at the 2008 Diet Pepsi Shocker Golf Classic at the par-71 Wichita Country Club on Tuesday, carding a final-round 295 and finishing at 864, nine shots back of winner and host Wichita State.

Individually, Kelly Kraft continued his strong freshman run, finishing second at 3-under 210. Dan Kleckner's 1-over 214 was good for fifth, while Ben Tewes also claimed a top-20 finish, tying for 15th at 218. Scott Barton (223) and James Minahan (229) rounded out the SMU squad, tying for 29th and 53rd, respectively. UTA's Kevin Carrigan won the event at 206 (67-68-71).

Up next for SMU is the Robert Kepler Invitational, Apr. 12-13, in Columbus, Ohio.
