DALLAS (SMU)--The SMU men's tennis team blanked Southeastern Louisiana Wednesday at the Turpin Tennis Stadium, winning every match en route to a 7-0 victory. With the win, the Mustangs improve to 15-7 on the season. The Lions slip to 13-6.

The teams played singles first, with the Mustangs winning all six matches. SMU efficiently dismantled the Lions, winning the six matches in about an hour and a half. Robin Fahgen won his sixth-straight match by defeating Matthieu Leboucher in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Alex Skrypko followed with his ninth-straight singles win, downing Ondrej Krivka in straight sets at No. 3, 6-0, 6-3. At No. 4, Oivind Alver took his second match by beating Julien Roussel, 6-2, 6-2. Adolfo Solares won his fourth-straight, defeating Alexis Biarneix, 7-6, 6-3. At No. 6, Chris Hooshyar beat Pavol Derkay in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6. David Kuczer wrapped up singles play at No. 1 by downing Vladimir Paunic, 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles, the Mustangs dominated all three matches. Redshirt-freshmen Darren Walsh and Taylor St. Eve paired at No. 3 and were the first duo off the court, with a quick 8-2 win over Biarneix and Paunic. Fahgen and Kuczer followed with an efficient 8-2 win of their own at No. 2, defeating Jakub Kwasniewicz and Roussel, 8-2. Alver and Hooshyar outlasted Krivka and Leboucher at No. 1, taking the match, 8-5.

"We played really well," said head coach Carl Neufeld. "I was impressed by our doubles. We just keep getting better and better. It was a solid effort by everyone. This is the first match since early in the season that everyone is healthy. I'm excited about the way we played in doubles and I think we're playing really good tennis right now."

The Mustangs are back in action as they host a double-header this Sunday, April 6. SMU will take on Conference USA rival No. 19 Rice at noon and Grambling State at 4pm. For the complete schedule and results, log on to SMUMustangs.com.
