All Conference

The All Conference awards have been release. Despite receiving a first round bye in the conference tournament, SMU failed to have a first team All-LSA player.

Five players were acknowledged:

Tolar Hamblen - 3rd Team All LSA - Attack
Taylor Manning - 3rd Team Alll LSA - Midfield
Sam Sawyer - Honorable Mention - Midfield
Jon Daugherty - 2nd Team All LSA - Defense
Thomas Greene - LSA Coach of the Year.

It should be noted that this is Coach Greene's 2nd year as the SMU Head Coach and the 2nd year in a row he has won this award (voted on by the other coaches in the conference). Donations to the Lacrosse Team would be appreciated so we can up his salary and keep this guy around!

Good luck in the Play-off's, especially since the Lone Star Conference Final Four will be at Texas Stadium. Very cool!

BTW, how is Perrin, the injured goalie doing?

He had to medically withdraw from the semester. He stayed in ATL. He had the initial surgery the night of the injury and another surgery a week later. He is out of the hospital and in good spirits. The injury could be career ending...its too early to tell. He will have some major rehab to do.

Talked to him today. He has an open wound still for swelling that will need another surgery in 7 days or so to fix up. The heeling process begins.

After a week off the team is ready to get after it the next two weeks before texas stadium.
