Houston Memorial VB Standout's Jersey Retired, Heads to SMU

Memorial had never had an all-state performer before Sidney Stewart. Stewart, who led the Mustangs to the state semifinals in 2007, was a two-time all-state performer and the Houston-area player of the year last season.

In recognition of her play at Memorial and her accomplishments, Memorial retired Stewart’s No. 3 jersey during senior night May 22.
