Seeing Schellas coach for someone other than SMU will be like seeing Emmitt Smith or Tony Dorsett trying to extend their careers by playing for someone other than the Dallas Cowboys. It's depressing. Some people just belong on one team.

This never should have been allowed to get to the point where he had to make a decision.

I hear an extension - a long extension - was discussed, and but the papers never were finalized. If that's true, someone should be held accountable. You just don't let a coach like Schellas get away.

We should be christening Schellas Hyndman Field at SMU, not watching him coach in the pros.

I mean, I hope he does well up there, but it never should have come to this. He was the model of stability and success at SMU. Someone should explain how this was allowed to happen.
