i do not mind the cards. We need to play hard nosed soccer. Two great and solid road wins.

Just got done watching game on my computer. SMU looked strong all night in the midfield. The goal against was a close range shot on a low crossed ball. Even though VA got a lot of shots off for the most part they were from outside the box and tough angles. SMU looked their usual "Arsenal" like selfs with ball control on the ground and sharp, tight passing. If they can keep up this intensity they should be hard to beat going into conference play.

I would rather be Man U like.

I'll take Man U's finishing with Arsenal's flair

Pony Pride - Just barely - thanks for asking. I am just glad I was playing against the old guys, though some of those guys are still in great shape. I enjoyed seeing you at the game and wished we had more time to visit. I expect to see you at some games this year. This road trip is a great way for Coach McClements' to start his SMU career.

In the past we've had trouble against physical teams. Remember Maryland, SCSB and St. John's. Perhaps we are getting a little tougher. I like seeing us beat a good team that tried to rough us up a bit.

We've moved up to number six in the College Soccer News poll. All other polls come out tomorrow.

I noticed in one poll Old Dominion and UVA weren't ranked but they were in the others receiving votes category. Nonetheless, nice way to start the new era.
