Mustang Petra Klosova Honored As C-USA Co-Swimmer Of The Week

Klosova Placed First in Three Events at the Mean Green Duals

DALLAS (SMU)-Senior swimmer Petra Klosova has earned the C-USA Swimmer of the Week award for her efforts in the pool at the Mean Green Duals held last Saturday, in which SMU beat Colorado State, New Mexico State, and North Texas. Klosova has now won the award six times in her career, and this is her first of the 2008-09 season. She will share the honor with Houston's Andrea Pa'lmai

Over the weekend, Klosova touched in first in the 100 and 200 back events. She also helped her fellow Mustangs swim to a 200 free relay victory. So far this season, Klosova has held down the tops spots in C-USA for the 100 and 200 back events. SMU's 200 free relay team is also currently in the lead by almost five seconds.

Klosova and the Mustangs will be back in action on Saturday, November 21 at the Texas A&M Invitational in College Station, Texas.
