SMU is back up to No. 5 in the Midwest region (behind Creighton, Kentucky, UAB, and Bradley). Tulsa is 6 and Memphis is 10. Great representation for CUSA!

National poll comes out at noon today.

Unranked nationally now. 31st if you count the "others receiving votes". Oh well, we know we are better than that...

Still No. 6 in the Midwest region this week. At least the regional voters actually bother to look at who teams have played and how well they have played in those games.

Up to No. 5 in the Midwest region this week and still no votes in the national poll.

It's a shame we didn't get to play Washington. A win against them would have really helped.

Hopefully we will have a successful trip this weekend in LA against UCLA and CS-Northridge.

Hoping for some love from the national voters when the poll comes out at noon. Still can't believe we didn't even get a single vote last week.

Not that the polls really mean anything but they should at least look at our results and who we have been playing.

I guess the true measure of the success of our strategy of playing an extremely challenging non-conference schedule will be when the first official NCAA RPI comes out.

No matter what all of the rankings say the team is certainly much better at 5-3-0 against this schedule than we would have been at 7-1-0 against a bunch of weak teams.

Made it back into the "others receiving votes" this week. Number 28 overall.

UCF is No. 14 - SMU really needs to take care of them Saturday night!

On a related note, topdrawersoccer.com does a weekly projection of the 48-team men's tournament and the 64-team women's tournament. They have the SMU men at 14 this week, up from 18 last week:

SMU is up to No. 2 in the Midwest region in the NSCAA rankings this week (behind only Creighton).

Still getting votes in the national poll but not close to cracking the Top 25 obviously after the UCF loss (if you count through the others receiving votes we are No. 37).

TopDrawerSoccer.com has SMU ranked No. 20 nationally.

SMU is still No. 2 behind Creighton in the Midwest Region in the NSCAA poll this week.

Nationally, we moved "up" in the others receiving votes category - we are number 29 if you keep counting.

C-USA only has UCF (who is ranked 8th) and SMU even getting votes in the NSCAA national rankings right now.

toprawersoccer.com's tournament ranking has SMU at 19 this week - with UCF 7 and South Carolina 43.
