Women's Tennis - Lesniak in Finals at USTA/ITA Championship

Marta Lesniak won again today and will play in the finals at the 2011 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Sunday at noon Eastern time.

Lesniak, who entered the 32-player field unseeded, defeated the 4-seed Mallory Burdette from Stanford 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinals yesterday and then defeated the 7-seed Denise Dy from Washington 7-6, 1-6, 6-4 in the semifinals today.

Lesniak will face Joanna Mather from Florida in the finals.

With the win today, Lesniak also moves into a tie for third place on the all-time SMU career singles match win list.

She won the final 7-5, 6-1.
