Senior Pair Earns Academic All-Conference Selection

IRVING, Texas (C-USA/SMU) - Seniors Kaitlyn Eidson and Courtney Webb were selected to the Academic All-Conference USA Second Team by the league office today.

Webb, a civil engineering major with a 3.77 GPA, earned her second-consecutive Academic All-Conference selection after she was named to the first team a year ago. The senior goalkeeper started 19 of the team's 20 games, earning recording four shutouts and earning a 1.03 goals against average, while also stopping 66 shots.

Eidson, a history major with a 3.47 GPA, earned her first Academic All-Conference selection in her final season as a Mustang. The senior co-captain is a three-time All-Conference honoree and finished the regular season with three goals and an assist, moving her career totals up to nine and eight respectively. Over the past two seasons, she has played every minute for a team that has had back-to-back seasons with 11-plus wins.

Not exactly sure how you raise your GPA from 3.69 to 3.77 in a major like Civil Engineering and drop from the first team to the second team but whatever...

It is a great accomplishment for both of them though. Congratulations!
