I watched her NCAA champs race on youtube. The channel is craulli . 2011 women's NCAA cross country championships. She took 13th like a couple of years ago.
Thing is she lead most of the 6K race. I believe she went out too fast. I believe she would have been top 10 if she had run with the lead pack. Still, I liked the aggressiveness but ya have to be really strong to pull off her tactic she used. When she started to slow it didn't take long for the others to overtake her and pull away. She wore more clothes than any other racer I saw. A Rice girl was in the race too.
I believe Silje was 6 wins on the XC season and this was her first loss. Our South Central region is considered the weakest of all the divisions.
Still great job for Silje!
