Nina Rangelova Earns National Honor
Sophomore recorded three individual B times, four relay B times

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU swimmer Nina Rangelova earned Counsilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors from CollegeSwimming.com for her performance at the Cougar Classic over the weekend.

Rangelova had three individual wins, helping the Mustangs to a first place finish at the Houston Cougar Classic Invitational. The sophomore won the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 49.73. She also took top honors in the 200- and 500-yard freestyles, finishing in 1:46.11 and 4:44.71, respectively. All three times are NCAA B standards. In addition, Rangelova assisted on the winning 200-yard freestyle relay (1:30.91, NCAA B), 400-yard medley relay (3:37.15, NCAA B), 200-yard medley relay (1:39.58, NCAA B) and 800 freestyle relay (7:16.71, NCAA B).
