Rangelova Named C-USA Swimmer Of The Week

IRVING, Texas (SMU) - SMU swimmer Nina Rangelova has been named the Conference USA Swimmer of the Week after claiming three individual events as the Mustangs edged Conference USA rival Houston, 155-143, on Saturday afternoon.

The freestyle specialist placed first in the 100- and 500-yard freestyles, clocking in with times of 51.85 and 5:03.22, respectively. She took top honors in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 2:07.00. Rangelova also swam the final leg of the winning 400-yard medley relay team, as the Mustangs had a time of 3:46.79.

The award is Rangelova's third of the season and of her career.
