SMU fans all over the country will be focused on the big game Saturday night - SMU at UAB!

The Blazers (5-2-2, 0-0-0) are ranked No. 23 this week, and have put together a nice non-conference season - so this will be a good test for SMU (5-2-2, 1-0-0) on the road.

UAB has a draw at Charlotte, and one of their losses was at New Mexico. This is their first C-USA game of the season obviously. The game starts at 7pm.

Go Ponies!

It sounds like this was a wild one. UAB outshot us 21-10 (12-2 on goal!) and Jaime Ibarra had 10 saves.

We saved two balls off the line in the final ten seconds after a UAB corner. Wow.

UAB is No. 23 nationally and No. 1 in the Midwest region in this week's NSCAA rankings so this win really was big for SMU.

The Mustangs are back home against Tulsa Wednesday night. SMU and Tulsa are the only teams in C-USA at 2-0-0 early in the conference season...

Tulsa is in my view the biggest game of the year right. We beat them, we have a good chance to win this conference.

Should be a HUGE game on Wednesday. All tickets are $1, so let's fill the stands and cheer on the boys.

SMU-Tulsa games are great ... always. When Tulsa came to Dallas a few weeks ago for the SMU tournament, they didn't look great. But the Golden Hurricane has beaten New Mexico when UNM was #4 or #5 in the country, and also beat Creighton, which I think was in the top 10. SMU and Tulsa know each other inside and out and have had some great games over the years.

Get out to Westcott Wednesday night and be loud.
