DeChambeaux Australian Open

Postby Treadway21 » Fri Nov 20, 2015 10:24 am

So I was channel surfing last night waiting for the hoops game to come on and ran thru the Golf Channel. As I changed, I got a quick peak of a golfer with a pointed cap putting. So I stayed on the channel, and yes, it was our man, Bryson DeChambeaux.

When it switched back to him, low and behold, he has his SMU mustang channel on for the day. He is in the threesome with Adam Scott, the leader in the tournament, so he was getting a lot of air time.

Right now is is the highest amateur and is tied at 12th.

Pretty cool.

Bryson finished T2 and lowest amateur in the Australian Masters! While wearing his SMU cap! The guy can play, and the NCAA denied him an incredible opportunity. Here's to more to come, Bryson.

He will be our next Payne Stewart. Quirky, unconventional, and really really good.

Golfers love the weird good guy. Stewart, Daly, Jesper, Poulter, Fowler. And Bryson is just a really nice dude who comes across quirky and humble but confident. Wish I could buy some stock in him.

Finished T30 in Australian Open. Pretty good. Think he's going to Argentina next.

Forgive me for not knowing, but did he transfer, or is he just going to play tournaments thru exemptions until the Masters?

Thx. Will be following him intently.

As an amateur does he have to pay his all his expenses or does he get any reimbursement? Seems pretty expense to travel to Australia and other tournaments on ones own dime.
