This is an excellent press conference appearance and I am very proud to have him representing SMU.

If he can make a splash in the near future, or especially this week, he could change the game of golf as we know it. The concept of same length clubs to make the swing easier on your body is brilliant.

Even par today after coming up short on his birdie put on 18 for a solid round. Spieth was -6 .

He looked good. I saw him make his birdie and then was able to tune back in as he chipped over 15 into the water. I take the blame for that and assure that he will do even better tomorrow

Tied for 6th after 2nd Round. Was playing really well until 18 and went from -3 (tied for 2nd) to 6th. Still, really impressed with him after 2 rounds at Augusta and the announcers have been giving him a lot of praise and have mentioned SMU a lot.

Disastrous 18th hole but he was the low score for the day until then. Get a good nights sleep, forget about 18, and do a Tin Cup 3rd round.

Speculation seems to be Cobra for his clubs - played last week with a set of King Cobra irons made to his specs. Interestingly, though, he's playing with his custom Edel irons this week. May not have an apparel sponsor just yet but he may get a box of free Kangol hats some time next week.

On a related note, does anyone know if you can get a hat like the one he wore Thursday through SMU or if it's a purely custom thing that only he has?
