Page Earns WGCA All-America Scholar Honors

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (WGCA/SMU) – For the third consecutive year, SMU women's golfer Katie Page was honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) as an All-American Scholar, the organization announced Tuesday. The junior has posted a grade-point-average above the required 3.50 each year on the Hilltop.

Page played in all 12 of the Mustangs' tournaments during the 2015-16 season, earning her best finish at the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational in September when she tied for third. Her second top 10 finish came in October at the Alamo Invitational. In 35 rounds last season, Page registered a 75.77 scoring average and posted a low round of 69 at the Clover Cup in March.

The Louisville, Kentucky, native is majoring in business with a sport management minor.

The Mustangs made their fourth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance in 2016, and their 14th postseason appearance overall. SMU finished fourth at The American Championship in April and was ranked as high as No. 27 during the season.

Page is one of 828 student-athletes to make the list. Visit the WGCA website for the complete list of honorees.
