SMU Falls, 1-0, at Providence College

Sept. 9, 2016

Providence, R.I. (SMU)— The SMU men's soccer team lost to the Providence Friars 1-0 Friday night in Providence, R.I. The Mustangs are now 2-3-0 while Providence improves to 3-2-0.

Scoreless after the first period, the Friars found the back of the net in the 78th minute as Brendan Constantine bounced a shot in off the far post.

Christian Boorom led all Mustangs with two shots and one on goal. Freshman Tosh Yasuda recorded one shot in his first collegiate game. Senior Brenden Lee and freshman Eddie Munjoma also took one shot each. Michael Nelson recorded eight saves in 90 minutes of play.

SMU plays the Brown Bears Sunday afternoon in Providence, R.I. Kickoff is at 12 p.m. CT.

Not sure but it is starting to get a bit concerning. Hopefully we bounce back with a nice win at Brown tomorrow.

Trade them in for a lacrosse team and save a bunch of money on a new soccer field.

Seems like we are still trying to find the right rotation.

Unfortunately we have probably lost too many games already so it will hurt a potential tournament seed, but hopefully we will get on a roll.

Huge weekend this week with home games against Santa Clara and Akron!!!!!!!
