Men's soccer falls to Tulsa in AAC opener

Mustangs Fall To Tulsa, 3-0, Saturday Night

Sept. 24, 2016

DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's soccer team fell to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 3-0, Saturday night at Westcott Field. The Mustangs dropped to 3-6-0 and 0-1-0 in conference play, while Tulsa improved to 4-2-2 and 1-0-0.

Tulsa found the back of the net early as Ray Saari scored in the fourth minute of the match. Rollie Rocha and Kay Duit would follow in the 27th and the 38th minute, respectively.

Garrett McLaughlin led all Mustangs in shots with three, one of which was on goal. Jordan Cano recorded two, with one on goal.

Nick Ruiz recorded five saves in 90 minutes of play, tying his season high.
