He played a terrific back nine and his game is coming together. Will be interesting to see how he does across the pond

It seems reasonable to believe his style of play would lend itself to fewer stress errors when in "crunch time". The swing is simple and non-changing. He just needs to have a hot putter and should be very successful. His putting woes have been numerous since they took away his long putter, plus he became belligerent in his attitude about the changes. Now that he is settled in on his new style he may be off and running.

playing at SMU Bryson has played in a lot of windy conditions but the Open is an entirely different beast. Hope he can compete and at least makes the cut.

Hard to believe he could compete this week with all the emotions, fatigue, and youth, but hopefully he can and then bring the momentum back home.

This will be an amazing experience for Bryson.

I should be getting to Birkdale right after he tees off. Wearing some SMU red for him.

Sometimes you hit your best shots when exhausted, because you don't overthink the shot and don't over-swing. My best round ever was when I was suffering from heat exhaustion (had a 104 temperature when I completed the round). Don't recommend that. But it worked for Ken Venturi.

I just like the one plane swing with the same length club concept. Takes out extra movement and less likely to be stress affected. He may be running on adrenaline but I am just happy for what he did regardless of what he does this week.

Finishes +6 - which could have been a lot worse considering he started with a triple and threw in a double on 14 for good measure.
