Katie Hegarty was also named to the weekly honor roll for the fourth time this season and second straight week.

Heise, a senior who was named conference Libero of the Year each of the last two seasons, averaged 6.71 digs per set in a pair of wins, climbing from fifth to first in conference matches, taking her average from 4.65 digs per set to 5.09. The Hempstead, Texas, native also took over the conference lead overall, averaging 5.28 digs per set this season. She out-performed previous league-leader Brooke Berryhill, 29-20, in a four-set win against Tulsa. Heise also posted 18 digs in a 3-0 win at Memphis.

The Aztec, N.M., native is fourth in The American, averaging 3.86 kills per set, and leads the Mustangs with 286 kills this season.

SMU is in a two-way tie at the top of the American Athletic Conference standings with Cincinnati at 7-1 in league matches. The Mustangs beat Cincinnati 3-2 in Dallas earlier this season. SMU plays at USF Friday and at UCF Sunday. The Bulls have won three straight, including road wins at Temple and Connecticut, to climb to fourth in the conference, while the Knights are third with just two conference losses and six wins.
