Butterfly
SMU had its most successful showing in the 100-yard butterfly against Tulane, with the Ponies finishing in the top four positions. Marne Erasmus won the distance in a time of 55.17, while Erin Trahan (56.92), Anna Cheesbrough(57.76) and Santa (57.97) followed in order. The 200 was won by Cheesbrough in 2:04.70.

Breaststroke
Tara-Lynn Nicholas was the Mustangs' top finisher in breaststroke events as she earned runner-up honors in the 100 (1:06.13) and was third in the 200 (2:23.82), an event where the top three finishers were separated by less than a second.

Individual Medley
Samardzic continued her dominance in the 400-yard individual medley defeating her closest competition by nearly eight seconds, touching the wall in 4:22.56 for the win.

Relays
The Mustangs swept event relays placing first and third in the opening 200-yard medley relay, while winning the 200-yard freestyle relay to close the day as well. Samardzic, Nicholas, Erasmus and Cunningham teamed up to post a 1:45.69 for the medley win, and the 200 free went to Trahan, Rogers, Santa and Cunningham in a time of 1:35.87.

Diving
Senior Lauren Lamb picked up the win in 3-meter action, posting a 222.22, and placed second on 1 meter with a final total of 230.92.

"I was really pleased with our team today," head coach Steve Collins said following the meet. "It was great to see Lamb pick up the win on 3 meter. This meet was good preparation for conference between competing against the runner-up team from last year and at 11 a.m., which is when the prelims are at conference. Overall, it was a great team meet with a great team attitude for the Mustangs."

The Mustang swimmers return to action Nov. 17-19 for the Texas A&M Invite in Mansfield, while the divers will compete at the Missouri Diving Invite the same dates in Columbia.
