I noticed they put the name up on the outside. The bricks are going on.

Outside is virtually done. Not sure of the inside. Doesn't one of the coaches have a facebook where he posts updates? I can't find it anymore.

Had a chance to drive by it when I was in Dallas last weekend. It looks great!!! Helps to make "East Campus" look more like SMU.

I was just thinking about you water Pony and your dreams have finally come true at SMU. These facilities look first class and that built-in bunk bed is awesome

Thanks for the shout out, One Trick Pony. The efforts by alums to pursue this dream have bridged two decades.

Most importantly, many thank to the Robson & Lindley families for their major donations to the Aquatics Center with its Barr-McMillion Natatorium.

BTW, in addition to the retirement of Jim Stillson, the Diving coach, we lost Ashley Dell, our Asst. Women's Coach, who is returning to her alma mater, U. of Iowa, as the Asst. Men's Swim Coach.

Has our ability to recruit elite American athletes improved?

We have had a problem for years recruiting elite swimmers and almost no Americans. Our facilities have been an excuse, but much better recruiting efforts are needed.

We have to have a very different result in recruiting to be a relevant program again. The only way I see that this will happen will to have a very different level of effort on the part of the coaching staff - either this coaching staff, or a new group of coaches.
