after another missed cut, Kelly keeps grinding and will play the Greenbrier this week and the John Deere the following week. Bryson taking another week off but will defend his title next week at the John Deere. No word on how Colt is doing. Anyone have any news?

From the look of the cast Colt was in at the Nelson right after surgery, I would doubt he comes back this year. My bet is he plays next year on a medical exemption.

Meanwhile, after the USGA realized Bryson had attended SMU...

I suspect many touring pro golfers did not do terribly well in math or school in general for that matter. Having a math nerd kick your butt is tough on those larger than life egos and hence they complained to the USGA who is filled with people who like to drink and smoke cigars and not think through math problems.

Good point. No way they rule the compass illegal if Bryson went to Alabama.

Meanwhile Kelly is in the lead at Greenbrier with 2 holes to play.

13 under is good for a one shot lead. Would be huge for Kelly to earn his 1st win and get that Masters invite but even more important, just finish strong and get those earnings up. Need to secure his spot on the tour for next year

Tough way to end the day but still in the lead. Hopefully today was his off day and he has another phenomenal day tomorrow to win his first PGA tournament.

Will be fun to see if Kelly can close this week. 15 players within 5 shots of the lead so will take a strong finish

Kelly is not going to win but it looks like he is in position to qualify for The Open in a couple of weeks. That would be big.

Not going to win many tournaments with an even par closing round, but the $788k paycheck is the largest he's earned on tour and more than doubles his YTD earnings. Should move him up about 40 spots on the money list

At least he secured his 2019 PGA Tour card and a spot in the 2018 Open Championship which will be his first appearance in the event.
