Kelly moving up after 3rd round 66 to get to 4 under for the tourney, now T-54th and 15 shots off the lead. Strong final round could earn Kelly a decent check this week and make the trip worthwhile.

A nice final round 65 and Kelly finishes at 11 under, T-33rd and earns $35,303 at the CIMB Classic. Finished 15 shots off the lead and 8 shots off a top 10 finish. His 4 over opening round was a killer.

Kelly, Colt & Bryson all traveling to South Korea to compete in the CJ Cup at Nine Bridges this week

Appears I was looking at last year's field because none of our guys made the trip this year. Off week for our SMU professional golfers

Bryson making news again. I agree though. I have always thought it would depend on the coefficient of restitution of the flagstick as well.

Bryson DeChambeau plans to leave flagstick in while putting in 2019
http://www.espn.com/golf/story/_/id/25148845/bryson-dechambeau-plans-leave-flagstick-putting-2019

Bryson DeChambeau said he will take advantage of a new rule in 2019 that allows golfers to putt from the green while leaving the flagstick in and unattended.

How many of his professional peers follow him remains to be seen.

DeChambeau, winner of four PGA Tour titles and known for his scientific approach to the game, recently told Golf.com at a photo shoot that he plans to leave the flagstick in while putting -- unless he's at the U.S. Open, where the sticks are made of a different material.

"It depends on the COR -- the coefficient of restitution of the flagstick," DeChambeau said. "In U.S. Opens, I'll take it out. And every other tour event, when it's fiberglass, I'll leave it in and bounce against the flagstick if I need to."

Consecutive 5 under rounds has Bryson 3 shots off the lead while Kelly snuck in under the cut line at 3 under so both will be playing this weekend in Vegas

Bryson already ranked # 6 in World rankings. Doesn't appear this 1st outing will do anything to hurt that ranking.

I stepped away and apparently Bryson made an eagle putting him in position to win again.
