The Mustangs hit .480 in the first set on their way to a 25-16 victory. Hegarty led the way with five kills, while Mills scored four without committing an error. Memphis led by two, 7-5, before SMU went on a 14-4 run to take control. The Tigers never threatened again the rest of the set.

Wish these girls could teach a little mean attitude to the football D.

Go watch this team - They love to smash the ball down your throat. Then look you down and smile.
Tough.

Maybe so, Bus, but then a more talented Wichita State team returned the favor. It's all about the talent 90% of the time
